Violation of election code: ECP imposes fine on Imran Khan

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday imposed a fine of Rs50,000 on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for violating the code of conduct of by-elections in NA-31 Peshawar.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the ECP on Thursday issued the decision of the case against Imran Khan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mehmood Khan for using public resources and violating the code of conduct in the PTI rally.
The ECP also imposed a fine of Rs50,000 on CM Mehmood Khan and Rs50,000 on the 10 ministers and advisers of the provincial government of KP.
Earlier today, the Commission had reserved its decision after the arguments on behalf of the lawyers were completed.
