Construction allowed but transport banned for labourers: Moonis
PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi became the first politician to raise the important issue of the missing public transport when he questioned on Thursday how the labourers would reach the construction sites amid lockdown.
In a tweet, Moonis said construction had been allowed during the lockdown period but the ban on public transport was still in place. How the labourers could reach their workplace without transport, he asked.
Moonis cited another contradiction in the government measures aimed at relaxing the lockdown.
The workshops had been allowed to function but the spare parts markets were closed, he said, adding that how a vehicle would move without spare parts.
