An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Saturday granted an interim bail to Mian Haseeb Vicky, alleged mastermind of a life attempt on Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) member of Punjab Assembly (MPA) Bilal Yasin, in lieu of a surety bond of Rs0.1 million, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

ATC Judge Ijaz Ahmad Buttar pronounced the verdict he had reserved on the last hearing. 

Vicky, who has remained a proclaimed offender (PO) for several months, had been nominated in the case 12 days after the incident on the basis of a statement given by one of the witnesses.

Pakistan Muslim League-N MPA Bilal Yasin had got injured when unknown assailants opened fire at him in Lahore on December 31, 2021.

Bilal Yasin was immediately shifted to Mayo Hospital for treatment.

According to eyewitnesses, Bilal received bullets in the leg and abdomen.

He is the nephew of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif’s late wife Kulsoom Nawaz and is a member of the Punjab Assembly since 2008.
