Punjab govt to get air ambulances on Rs180m annual rent

The Punjab government has decided to get air ambulances on rent for one year instead of buying, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to sources, the annual rent of the air ambulances in Punjab will be more than Rs180 million.

The sources further said that annual rent of Rs90 million will be paid for an air ambulance.

Moreover, the rescue department has estimated Rs500 million for the purchase of one air ambulance.

The sources further added that instead of purchasing one air ambulance, the services of two air ambulances will be taken on annual rent.

The rescue department estimated the annual expenditure of Rs440 million in the tender.

Skywing, a Karachi-based company, has won the bid for two providing two air ambulances for Rs180 million annual rent.
