Four members of a family died and three others were injured in a dreadful road accident here on Sunday.

Rescue sources said that a family was on its way to Lahore Township from Faisalabad to meet their relatives when the pickup was collided with a container near Samundri Interchange on M3 Motorway.

As a result of accident, four people including family head Syed Shakir Hussain Rizvi, his wife Shahida Bibi, sons Ahsan Raza and Murtaza died on the spot while three others were critically injured.

The bodies and injured were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
