The gold prices that were showing a downward trend since last week once again saw a big increase, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the All Sindh Jewelers Association, the price of one tola of 24-Karat gold increased by Rs5700 to reach Rs139900.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-Karat gold increased by Rs4887 to reach Rs119942.

The price of the precious yellow metal increased by $2 per ounce to reach $1777 in the international market.

According to Jewelers, the increase in gold is due to an increase in the value of international currencies including the US dollar and UAE dirham in the open market against the Pakistani rupee.
