The Punjab government has decided to create two new tehsils, Jalalpur Jattan and Kunjah in the Gujarat district, reported 24 News HD TV Channel Tuesday.

On the instruction of the government, the Punjab Board of Revenue has started working on the plan. Commissioner Gujranwala Division and DC Gujarat are asked to provide the location and revenue records of Tehsil Kunjah and Jalalpur Jattan including detail of the population and areas immediately.

Senior Member Board of Revenue Zahid Akhtar Zaman will collect all the details related to the tehsils within fifteen days. After the completion of the work by the Board of Revenue, with approval of the Punjab Cabinet, Kunjah and Jalalpur will become regular tehsils.
