Punjab Home Minister rebuts Imran s statement about torture on Gill

Punjab Home Minister Hashim Dogar has denied Imran Khan's statement regarding the torture of Shahbaz Gill, reported 24 News HD TV Channel.

Talking to the media during his visit to Rawalpindi Adiala Jail Tuesday, the minister said he met Shahbaz Gill and he was completely fine.

“There is no question of torturing him by stripping him naked. Nobody can touch him in jail. Any one who will torcher any prisoner will be taken to the task. I will meet Imran Khan to tell him about the health of Shahbaz Gill,” he added.

Dogar said that Gill’ case is under federation domain case while the Adiala Jail administration is uder Punajb.

Dogar said that appropriate action will be taken against those who have broken the law on May 25 and exceeded their powers.

He also announced to reduce the one-month sentence of prisoners in Punjab jails with the consultation of the Lahore High Court.

He said the problems of the prisoners will be solved on a priority basis. Replying to a question, Dogar said that he does not fully support Shahbaz Gul's statement regarding institutions.
