Shakar Parian Foreigners Harassment: Suspects arrested, videos recovered

Islamabad police on Tuesday arrested some of the suspects involved in the harassment of foreign ladies during Independence Day celebrations at Shakar Parain.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the police have recovered the videos related to the case of harassment of two foreign ladies and a man at Shakar Parian from the possession of the arrested suspects.
The police sources said the process of identifying all the accused seen in the videos on the spot is being continued with the help of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
Islamabad police have registered the case of the incident in Abpara Police Station and started investigations into the matter.
Pertinent to mention that two foreign women were allegedly harassed during the Independence Day celebrations at Shakar Parian Monument in Islamabad and the video of such incident was also made viral on social media the next day on August 15.
According to a video that went viral on social media, eve-teasers continued haunting three foreign persons including two women for an hour.
Reportedly, policemen were not deployed to secure the families coming to celebrate the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan at the famous picnic spot, Shakar Parian Monument.
