Change in central contracts of national cricketers proposed

Change in the central contracts of national cricketers 2025-26 based on performance has been proposed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to sources, several players are certain to be released based on performance and several new players are likely to get central contracts. 

Coaches, Director High Performance, Finance and International Departments are being consulted regarding central contracts.

Sources said consultations for central contracts have entered the final stage. 

To give central contracts to several young players for the first time was also proposed.

It was also proposed to cancel the contracts of those who are no longer part of any of the three formats.

Hassan Nawaz, Muhammad Haris, Safyan Muqim, Hassan Ali, Faheem Ashraf and Fakhar Zaman are likely to be included in the central contract.

Consultation on the names of Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Muhammad Nawaz and Sahibzada Farhan is continued and their inclusion is also possible.

This is the last year of the three-year financial model of the central contract.

Aamir Jamal, Muhammad Harira, Hasibullah, Usman Khan, Muhammad Ali are difficult to find a place in the central contract. 

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi will announce the contracts for the approval of the central contract, sources concluded.
