‘Together, we can heal’: Asim Azhar voices grief and support for disaster-hit KP
Asim Azhar has raised his voice for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who have been devastated by relentless rains and catastrophic flooding, urging the nation to unite in compassion and relief efforts.
Taking to Instagram, the Jo Tu Na Mila hitmaker shared heartfelt words for the victims, urging fans to channel the same passion they showed on Independence Day toward relief efforts.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reels from heavy rains and flash floods that have claimed more than 325 lives and left a trail of devastation.
“Today, our land weeps. The floods have taken homes, dreams, and precious lives in Pakistan,” the singer said.
He added, “My heart aches for every mother, father, child, and soul affected. In moments like these, we must become one, one nation, one heart, one hand reaching out to another. Please keep them in your prayers, and if you are able, extend your support to trusted relief efforts. Together, we can help heal what has been broken.”

Floods remain a recurring nightmare for the country, where weak infrastructure, poor urban planning, and climate change worsen the impact of monsoon rains. The current devastation recalls memories of the 2022 floods, one of the worst natural disasters in the nation’s history, which killed over 1,700 people and displaced millions.
Asim Azhar was often dubbed the ‘Justin Bieber of Pakistan’ in his early years. He first gained recognition through YouTube covers of popular songs before making his mark with original tracks.
His breakthrough came with the Coke Studio performance of ‘Tera Woh Pyar’ alongside Momina Mustehsan in 2016. Since then, Azhar has consistently delivered chart-topping songs, including Jo Tu Na Mila, Humraah, and Ghalat Fehmi.
He also explored acting, making appearances in TV dramas and lending his voice to film soundtracks. In recent years, Asim has performed at international concerts, collaborated with renowned artists, and even released music that reflects his personal experiences.
The 27-year-old previously too spoke during national crises, often using his voice to inspire solidarity. His latest message reflects the growing call among celebrities and civil society for collective action as Pakistan braces for the long-term aftermath of the disaster.
