FIA arrests agent over Rs9.8m UK visa fraud in Faisalabad

The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Faisalabad team has arrested a man accused of being involved in a visa fraud case, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to the FIA, the suspect, identified as Ashfaq, allegedly took Rs9.8 million from a citizen after promising to arrange his travel to the United Kingdom.
The agency said the suspect failed to send the citizen to the UK and also did not return the money.
The case was registered by the FIA following a complaint from the affected citizen, identified as Asad.
The FIA has started further legal proceedings against the arrested suspect as part of its investigation into the alleged fraud.
