LESCO comes down hard on consumers failing to pay their electricity bills
Connections of all consumers to be severed in case one turns out to be defaulter
Launching an indiscriminate crackdown on consumers (households, commercial, and industrial) failing to pay their electricity bills, the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) on Sunday ordered that connections of all consumers in a building should be served in case any consumer turns out to be a defaulter, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources told the 24News TV channel it had emerged that the company had failed to collect billions of rupees from consumers, some of whom, rather than paying their bills, even obtained another connection.
LESCO has also activated legal teams to recover amounts from defaulters.
