Law-enforcers turn looters in Layyah

The police became dacoits in Layyah as police official looted the house of a disabled person in broad daylight, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel Wednesday.
The police officials of Sadar Police Station entered the house of a disabled person Ramzan in Chak 137 and looted all the valuables from the house.
The police officials broke the doors and locks of the cabinets and looted gold, cash and other valuables.
The police also took away with them a motorcycle and LCDs. They even forcefully snatched the gold earrings of a woman from her ears.
The CCTV footage of the incident obtained by the channel shows a group of police officials looting the house without any shame or hindrance in the broad daylight.

When contacted the police spokesperson Usama Mushtaq said the District Police Officer was on vacations and they could not give their point of view on the heinous crime committed by the police officials.
However later, the DPO Nadeem Abbas has constituted a committee to probe the matter under DSP Sadar Police Station and has directed to submit the report within 24 hours.
