A citizen in Karachi moved a local court against a police officer, accusing him of assisting those responsible for an Rs4.1 million bounced cheque, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
It is Abdul Jabbar who filed an application with the Additional Sessions Judge, Karachi Central, against the Paposhnagar SHO, saying that the court had earlier ordered him to take action on his application. However, when he visited the police station the SHO made him wait for one hour and later forced him to leave the premises, he added.
According to the applicant, his business partners Mustafa and Nadir had tricked him to this investment but later usurped an amount of Rs4.1 million.
When he demanded that the money should be paid back, they issued a Rs4.1 million cheque of a private bank which bounced. But instead of helping him in the matter, the SHO colluded with his partners.
Hearing the matter, the court issued notice to the SHO and adjourned further hearing of the issue till December 18.
