Another earthquake jolts Hyderabad

Another earthquake has jolted the Pakistani city of Hyderabad and its suburban areas on Thursday afternoon, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad, the earthquake was measured at 3.0 on the Richter Scale while its depth was recorded at 10 kms into the ground.
The monitoring Centre said the quake was felt at 1:27 pm.
On December 12 last, an n early morning earthquake had also jolted many Pakistanis from their beds as a number of cities including Hyderabad were shaken by the tremor.
The 3.3-strong earthquake was felt in several cities including Hyderabad, Kotri, Lower Dir, Chitral, Swat, Shangla and other areas.
The National Seismic Monitoring Centre had said that the epicentre of the quake was recorded 70 kilometres west of Hyderabad and its depth was recorded at 30 kms into the ground.
In Shangla and Khalwari area of Lower Dir, the early morning earthquake spread panic and fear when people were jolted out of their beds and rushed outside.
On December 8 last, earthquake tremors were also felt in several areas of Karachi. Tremors were felt in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Malir Cantt, Scheme 33, and II Chundrigarh Road, among other areas.
Tremors were also felt in Gulshan-e-Hadeed and Gadap. The intensity of the earthquake was 4.1 magnitude on the Richter scale and was measured at a depth of 15km.
