Punjab to hold country's biggest football league

Punjab Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti has announced to hold the largest football league in Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Rai Taimoor Khan Bhatti has said in a statement that the football league is being organized to promote the game of football and bring out the talent and it will be the largest football league in Pakistan.

He said that registration for the Football League will continue from December 15 to 22 and players under the age of 23 from across the province will be eligible for registration.

Online forms for registration, QR codes are available on the Internet, players can contact the Divisional and District Sports Offices.

Bhatti further said that the biggest football trials of Punjab would be held at district level.

In the first phase, teams will be formed at the divisional level. In the next phase, league matches of all divisions will be held in Lahore.

Register for the Youth Football League trials and showcase your talents, he added. 

The minister said that prizes of Rs. 3,5,10 lakh have been set aside for the winning teams. Punjab's dream team will be selected through the league.

Monthly Scholarships will be issued for Punjab Dream Team. Director General Sports Punjab Javed Rasheed Chauhan will oversee trials and league arrangements.

The Football League is an important step towards the Prime Minister's vision of promoting regional sports.
