Khokhar formally says goodbye to PPP

Former PPP Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar on Friday formally announced to quit Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar officially resigned as a member of the Senate on Nov 10, 2022. 

Giving the reasons, Khokhar announced that he was resigning as a senator on the demand of his party's leadership, which was “unhappy” over his political views on matters related to civil liberties. 

In 2018, he was elected as a PPP Senator in the seat of Sindh.

Being close to the party chairman Bilawal Bhutto, he also served Bhutto as his official spokesperson till Dec 2020.
