Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will inaugurate the next phase of CPEC on Dec 26, reported 24NewsHD Tv channel. 

Addressing a press conference in Dera Ismael Khan on Friday, he reiterated PTI chief Imran Khan wanted to create a political and economic mess in the country through the dissolving of provincial assemblies. 

He said PTI chief Imran Khan is repeatedly asking for the snap polls to fulfill his own ulterior designs. He said PTI is enjoying popularity on social media through 150 million fake IDs.  

 “The country was on the verge of collapse during PTI’s four-year tenure. But we saved the country after burning midnight oil,” he recalled.  

Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) president further alleged that PTI has pushed the country towards destruction.

He reiterated that when the current government came into power, the country was on verge of default and we had rescued it from bankruptcy, now the country has no fear of default.

“Economic, political, and defense stability of Pakistan is our goal,” he hinted. 

Maulana said that Jamiat did not limit its politics to the religious sphere rather it is gaining popularity due to its long-term policies across the country. “Jamiat is considered a great force throughout the country.”

He said the next phase of CPEC would help in developing the whole country.  

Fazlur Rehman said two lakh hectares of land of the country is barren. In order to fertile the land, we will uplift Lift Canal and Chashma Canal for this purpose. “Steps are being taken to remove the backwardness of the area,” he said adding that industrial zones are going to be established and there will be a cargo airport for Central Asia in the KP. 

PDM chief said that Imran Khan is pursuing an international agenda.

“The agenda of the Jewish lobby is being brought but they are fighting global colonialism,” he added.
