Although the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) Lahore Region has surplus gas, the industrial sector stopped using it, 24 NewsHD TV channels reported on Friday.

According to sources, additional gas has been found to be added. The Lahore Region increased the quota of the captive power industry to 100 per cent, but the industrial sector has started avoiding using gas. 

Previously, gas was being supplied to the captive power industry under a 50 pc quota.

Following the LNG addition, the company restored gas to the industry and according to sources, officers have been on a campaign to convince the person concerned to use the surplus gas.
