PML-N commits corruption in 16-month rule: Mahtab Abbasi

Former Governor Sardar Mahtab Abbasi on Friday announced to contest the upcoming elections as an independent candidate, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

In his presidential address at a workers' convention in Rawalpindi, a former leader of the PML-N, Abbasi alleged that the party committed corruption during its recent 16-month tenure in the federal.  

He emphasized the need for political unity, highlighting that existing political factions had transformed into mere political groups, losing their original essence.

The workers convention drew a substantial number of participants from Abbottabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.  

Sardar Mahtab Khan expressed his concerns over the soaring utility bills, Abbasi stated that electricity and gas bills became a source of torment for the common people.

He advocated for an end to the spectacle of misery that the poor endure, asserting that there should be no room for the oppression of the impoverished.

Touching upon the state of law and order, he urged for a shift from a culture of revenge to collective introspection and reconciliation.

He emphasized the importance of fair and timely legal proceedings against those who violate the law.
