Terrorist network involved in attack on Ameer Ahle Sunnah Qazi Nisar traced


Inspector General of Police (IGP) Gilgit Baltistan has claimed that the terrorist network involved in the assassination attack on Ameer-e-Ahle-Sunnah Qazi Nisar Ahmed on October 5 has been exposed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
In an important press conference, Inspector General of Police Gilgit-Baltistan said that as a result of effective operations by the law enforcement agencies of Gilgit-Baltistan, the two main accused have been arrested.
Both accused have also confessed to the crime during the investigation.
He said a total of 11 terrorists were involved in the attack, including two facilitators and nine attackers.
One terrorist was killed on the spot during the counter-attack, IG said.
Identification of all the absconding accused has been completed, and vigorous efforts are underway to arrest them, GB IG said.
This success is the result of joint efforts of the police and all security agencies, IG Gilgit-Baltistan added.
He said there is no place for terrorism in Gilgit-Baltistan.
All agencies are working in complete coordination to protect the lives and property of the people, IG Gilgit-Baltistan concluded.
