LHC rejects Imran Khan's protective bail, gives relief in other appeal

Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday rejected the protective bail application of former Prime Minister Imran Khan as he failed to appear before the court.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, A bench of LHC comprising Justice Baqir Najafi and Justice Shahbaz Rizvi gave a verdict on Imran Khan's non-appearance in the court.
Lahore High Court had ordered Imran Khan to reach by 6:30 but he did not appear.
The court announced the verdict by saying that they have no option but to reject the bail application.

LHC adjourns second case of Imran Khan's protective bail till Feb 20

In the second case of the protective bail application of Imran Khan, the LHC Justice Tariq Saleem Shiekh adjourned the hearing till February 20.
LHC Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh gave Imran Khan a grace period of up to three days to appear before the court to get protective bail.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Imran Ismail, Mian Mehmood-ul-Rashid, and others reached the LHC to hear the proceedings of the party chairman's protective bail.
Keeping in view the high-profile case, a police force in good number was deployed outside the LHC and the court of Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh.

The PTI chief had filed a petition before the LHC for his protective bail after an anti-terrorism court in Islamabad rejected Imran Khan's bail in a case regarding a protest in front of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) after he failed to appear before the court.

The ATC court summoned Imran Khan in person to appear before the court today. But the PTI chief chose not to appear before the court. Instead, his lawyer filed an application on his behalf seeking his exemption from court appearance on medical grounds.

The Lahore High Court's judge Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh heard the case.
