Audit reports reveal irregularities in illegal procurement of medicines in Punjab’s public hospitals
Yet another corruption scandal from the Buzdar era has come to light as audit reports expose massive financial irregularities, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Sunday.
According to the channel report, the Public Accounts Committees of the Punjab Assembly are currently reviewing audit reports, which continue to reveal financial mismanagement during the fiscal years 2020 and 2021.
As per the channel report, the audit reports highlight that government hospitals in Punjab procured medicines and other supplies without tenders, violating regulations.
In a shocking revelation, the District Health Authority Muzaffargarh allegedly purchased medicines and other medical supplies worth Rs. 665.41 million in violation of procurement laws.
