Fire breaks out in Abbottabad’s forest
Trees and plants damaged: Debris falls on Murree Road
A massive wildfire erupted in the Lower Galiyat forest, causing severe damage to trees and plants, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Sunday.
The fire spread rapidly, burning saplings and mature trees alike, while debris from the hills began falling onto Murree Road, creating further hazards for commuters.
Authorities have yet to bring the situation under control as the fire continues to engulf large areas of the forest.
Residents and environmentalists have expressed deep concern over the destruction of natural habitat in the region.
Efforts are underway to control the fire and prevent further damage.
