Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana has issued a notification for the suspension of 15 policemen due to their absence from duty, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, these policemen were found absent from their security duty during the Raiwind Tableegi Ijtema.

As per the notification issued on Monday, the suspended policemen included Nasir, Tayyab, Naeem, Hassan, Aslam, Saleem, Hamed, Abbas, Ikram, Qaisar, Nadeem, Imran, Tanveer, Khushi Mohammad, Javed, and Amjad.

A report of special branch pointed out these policemen. All these policemen were marking their attendance in the SP Office with the support of officials.

All the suspended policemen were directed to report to the police lines for further proceedings.

FIR filed against accused

A first information report (FIR) was registered against three accused who were looting people while one was wearing a police uniform in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The incident took place in the Shahdara area of Lahore.

As per the FIR, three dacoits intercepted a citizen, Abdul Rehman, on gunpoint in Shahdara and escaped from the scene after snatching his mobile and currency from him.

The victim said that the two accused were in simple clothes, while the third one was wearing a police uniform.

 Police, after registering a case against the accused, started a search operation to apprehend the accused. 

Police officials said that after the arrest of the accused, it will be determined whether someone committed the crime in a police uniform or if a policeman himself was involved in the robbery.
