45 Bangladeshi students reach Pakistan for higher education

As many as 45 students from Bangladesh arrived in Karachi on Monday to seek higher education under the Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor programme, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The officials of the higher education commission (HEC) and representatives of different universities gave a warm reception to the students.

The Bangladeshi students will receive education at Pakistan’s best universities under the Allama Muhammad Iqbal Scholarship.

Spokesman for the HEC said that the purpose of the knowledge corridor was to strengthen collaboration between the two countries in the field of education besides increasing people-to-people contacts.

The second batch of Bangladeshi students will reach Pakistan next week.

The spokesman further said that the HEC was committed to providing quality education to the Bangladeshi youth.
