Diesel price raised by Rs7.32 per litre, petrol up Rs5
The federal government has increased the prices of petroleum products for the upcoming fortnight, raising the cost of both petrol and high-speed diesel, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs5 per litre.
Following the hike, the new petrol price has been fixed at Rs258.17 per litre.
Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been raised by Rs7.32 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs275.70 per litre.
The revised prices will remain effective for the next 15 days, as part of the government’s regular fortnightly review of petroleum product rates.
