Lahore-Sialkot Motorway closed due to dense fog

The Lahore-Sialkot Motorway (M-11) was closed on Monday night due to dense fog, authorities confirmed.

According to Syed Imran Ahmed, spokesperson for the Central Region of the National Highways and Motorway Police, the decision to close the motorway was taken in order to protect the lives and property of the public, as fog can prove to be extremely dangerous for driving.

He urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during foggy conditions and to prioritize safety. Motorway Police have advised commuters to prefer travelling during daytime hours in such weather.

Syed Imran Ahmed further stated that the safest time for travel during foggy conditions is between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. Authorities have appealed to the public to exercise caution and cooperate with officials to ensure road safety.
