Man injured by kite string near Lahore
A man was hospitalized after he was injured when a kite string struck him while riding a motorbike in Kot Abdul Malik near Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
According to details, the incident took place at Sheikhupura Road near Kot Abdul Malik.
Police said that 20-year-old man, Faheem, was riding a motorcycle when the kite string wrapped around him and he became injured.
Local police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured man to a hospital in Shahdara, where he was provided first-aid.
On February 7, 2026, during the Basant Festival, a 21-year-old rider in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) suffered neck wounds when a stray string wrapped around him while heading home from the market.
Rescue 1122 teams gave first aid and rushed him to surgery; he remains stable.
In another case, a 45-year-old motorcyclist suffered cuts to his face and neck in a similar incident.
Police noted that both riders failed to use the mandatory safety rods on their bikes.
An eight-year-old girl in Gulshan-e-Ravi also sustained throat injuries, while two other youngsters and one rooftop fall added to the toll.
