Five injured as polio team attacked in Khairpur

Two health and three social workers were injured when a polio team was attacked in Khairpur district on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The polio team was attacked near Altaf Colony. The injured included Allah Bachayi, Shahjahan Soomro and Sitara Soomro.

District Health Officer Dr Muhammad Hassan the attackers will have to pay the price for their crime.

“We will file an FIR against them,” he added.

A health worker said they were attacked as Saturday was the last day of their visit to the area.
