The Sindh government, in order to deal with the dearth of officers, has decided to promote those already serving while making fresh recruitments on the vacant posts, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

In this connection, the Sindh chief secretary has directed all department heads to send seniority lists of officers in grade-17, 18, 19 and 20 by Monday (January 18) for their promotions to next grades.

Selection boards 1, 2 and 3 will meet to decide on promotions of these officers, while in order to induct fresh ones, the provincial government has decided to turn to the federal government’s Establishment Division.
