Police in Khairpur Nathan Shah (Sindh) have arrested one more person nominated in the alleged suicide case of a lady doctor, Asmat Toor, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Police have said that Faizan Solangi is the son of main suspect in the case Shaman Solangi, and was sexually harassing the doctor along with his father.

Although police have made some arrests, main suspect Shaman and Imdad Solangi are still at large despite the passage of 10 days to the incident.

On the role of Imdad in the case, the Force has said he was one of the witnesses in the ‘fake’ Nikah nama of Shaman with Dr. Asmat.

Three days back, on Thursday (January 13, 2022), 24News reported that Hyderabad DIG Pir Muhammad Shah had suspended Khairpur Nathan Shah Station House Officer (SHO) Gull Beg over ‘negligence’ in handling the case that led to the alleged suicide of a female doctor.

Khairpur Nathan Shah is a city and a taluka of Dadu district in Sindh.

Holding police’s negligence responsible for the suicide of Dr. Asmat Toor, the DIG vowed to apprehend those who were involved in the case.

Around eight days back, on January 8, a bullet-riddled body of a female medical student was spotted at Seeta Road, Khairpur Nathan Shah.
