Celebratory gunfire claimed the lives of two brothers in Lahore, Punjab capital, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Majid and Safdar. Police said Majid was a constable in Anti Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) department.

The tragedy took place in Naseerabad where the two brothers arrived to attend a marriage festivities of their relative.

The bodies have been handed over to their relatives after completing medico-legal formalities.  

The provincial police chief took notice of the incident and sought a report from the CCPO. He issued directives to nail the culprits at the earliest.
