The Election Commission released the complete results of 130 out of 160 Union Councils (UCs) in the second phase of the Local Government Elections in Hyderabad.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, PPP succeeded 82 chairman and vice chairman seats including 31 unopposed candidates from Hyderabad.
The channel report said that the PPP got more than the required majority of votes to elect the mayor of Hyderabad now.
The PTI emerged as the second biggest party in Hyderabad by winning 37 Union Committees.
From Hyderabad, 9 independent candidates won while Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) succeeded to win one seat each.
