PPP wins in Karachi South, JI's clean sweep in Karachi Central

In the South district of Karachi, Pakistan People's Party (PPP) won 15 out of 25 Union Councils (UCs) and outclassed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in local government elections.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, PPP won 11 out of 12 UCs in Lyari while the PTI won only one UC.
Election Commission sources said the PTI has won 8 out of 13 seats in South District, while PPP has won 4 and TLP has won one UC.
In Karachi Central District, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) won 40 out of 43 UCs. As per details, JI won all 16 UCs in Gulberg and North Nazimabad,
7 UCs in Liaquatabad, and all 11 UCs in New Karachi.
The Election Commission sources said PPP won in three UCs in North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, and New Karachi.
