Imran Khan moves IHC against his jail trial in Toshakhana, Al-Qadir cases

Former prime minister and former PTI chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC), seeking annulment of the notifications issued for his jail trial in the Toshakhana, Al-Qadir Trust corruption references, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Making the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman and others respondents in his petition, the former prime minister said that the notification for his jail trial in the Al-Qadir Trust case was issued on November 14, 2023, while in the Toshakhana case on November 18, 2023.

Imran argued that both the notifications were illegal and were issued with a mala fide intent.

He also prayed to the court to bar the trial court from hearing these cases until it gave its decision on his petition.
