Centenarian woman stuns India by coming back to life

A 103-year-old Gangabai Sakhar was unexpectedly found alive during the funeral preparations in the Ramtek area of Nagpur district in the Indian state of Maharashtra, 24NewsHD TV reported.

Her relatives thought she had died when they saw her motionless and not breathing.

According to tradition, the woman was dressed in a white saree, cotton was put on her nose, and her hands and feet were tied.

However, just moments before the planned final rites, Ganga Bai’s grandson Rakesh Sukharre noticed her toes moving.

When the cotton was removed, she took a deep breath, and immediately her "mourning" mood turned into "joy" - because she remembered that it was her birthday.

Doctors were called immediately, and Ganga Bai’s miraculous recovery was confirmed.

Now, locals call her a "living miracle," and people from neighboring villages are said to be coming to see her.

Since the day was also her 103rd birthday, the family brought out a large birthday cake, which Ganga Bai joyfully cut with her children and grandchildren.

Relatives who had come to mourn ended up enjoying the birthday cake before returning home, making the day an unforgettable mix of relief, joy, and celebration.
