England defeated Pakistan by 37 runs in a thrilling Under-19 World Cup encounter at Harare on Friday.

Winning the toss, Pakistan opted to field first, putting England under pressure with disciplined bowling.

However, the English batsmen posted a competitive total of 210 runs, with Falconer top-scoring at 66.

Pakistan’s Ahmed Hussain led the attack, taking 3 wickets, while Ali Raza, Abdul Subhan, and Momin Qamar claimed 2 wickets each.

Chasing 211 runs, Pakistan’s innings faltered early as openers Sameer Minhas and Muhammad Shayan were dismissed for just 23 runs collectively.

Usman Khan (6) and Ahmed Hussain (12) also failed to build momentum.

Captain Farhan Yousuf was the standout performer with 65 runs, but the team ultimately managed 173 runs and were bowled out in the 47th over, falling short by 37 runs.

England’s Alex Green, Albert, and James Minto each picked up 2 wickets, ensuring Pakistan could not recover in the chase.
