Massive fire sweeps containers terminal at Karachi Port

A fire broke out in a container terminal located near West Wharf Road, at Karachi Port Trust on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, a joint operation by Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC), Rescue 1122, Karachi Port Trust (KPT), and Pakistan Navy (PN) is underway to bring the fire under control.
Chief Fire Officer Humayun Ahmad said that foam is also being used to control the fire. He further said that three vehicles of KMC and a water browser being used in the rescue operation.
Fire brigade officials said that different goods were loaded on the container that caught fire.
So far, no casualties or injuries have been reported, although rescue teams are continuing to assess the situation.
