PML-N leader's killers die in encounter with Hafizabad police
Two accused who were involved in the murder of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Aurangzeb Hinjra were gunned down in an alleged police encounter in Hafizabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The accused believed that Aurangzeb Hijra gave a tip-off to the local police about their brother, who was a drug-peddler in the area which led to his arrest a few months ago.
The police said both the accused came face-to-face during their routine patrolling in the area. During the heavy exchange of firing, both accused were shot dead.
Later, the police shifted the bodies of the dead accused to the hospital’s mortuary for a post-mortem.
It is necessary to mention here that on November 25, 2025, the accused knocked the door of Aurangzeb Hijra's house at 8.15 am, and when he came out of his house, they immediately opened fire on him, after which he died on the spot. Both the accused later escaped from the scene.
