US police ‘arrest’ goat after it tries to enter old-age home

The police in the US state of Washington briefly “arrested” a goat after it attempted to force its way into an old-age home.

According to local media, an unusual and amusing incident occurred in the city of Auburn, where the Wesley Homes old-age facility contacted police to report an unexpected intruder. Staff informed authorities that a goat was repeatedly trying to enter the building.

When police officers arrived at the scene, they confirmed that “a goat was attempting to get inside the premises.”

Officers safely took the animal into custody, ensuring no harm to residents or the goat itself.

The Auburn Police Department later shared a photo of the “arrested” goat on social media, which quickly caught public attention.

The goat, named Ruby, even posed calmly for pictures with the officers.

Police said Ruby was later handed over to a friend of her owner and safely returned home.

“In view of the goat’s innocence, all charges were dropped,” police humorously added.

The lighthearted incident brought smiles online, with many praising the police for handling the situation safely and with a sense of humor.
