Saudi Arabia announces royal honors for 200 organ donors

Saudi Arabia has announced royal honors for 200 citizens in recognition of their contribution to organ donation, 24 NewsHD TV reported on Friday. 

According to the Saudi Press Agency, Custodian of the two holy mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz has approved awarding the King Abdulaziz Medal (third class) to individuals who donated their organs.

Saudi media reported that the awards are conferred to acknowledge the donors’ humanitarian spirit and to encourage others to come forward and contribute to organ donation, which plays a vital role in saving lives.
