Wedding bells at Jatiumra: Junaid Safdar’s mehndi festivities kick off

The wedding festivities of Junaid Safdar, son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and grandson of PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, are set to begin at Jati Umra in Lahore tonight, reported 24NewsHD TV.

Junaid Safdar is tying the knot with Shanzeh Ali Rohale, and the pre-wedding events are being organised with traditional flair under strict guest arrangements.

Family members and close relatives from both the Sharif family and the Sheikh Rohale Asghar family have been invited to attend the mehndi ceremony.

Sources said the celebrations will begin with a series of closely guarded yet grand events, starting with the mehndi tonight.

Adding a festive touch to the evening, renowned dancer Wahab Shah has been specially invited to perform at the event.

His performance is expected to be one of the highlights of the night.

The mehndi ceremony will host around 350 guests, with arrangements made for an elaborate dinner featuring traditional desi cuisine.

The baraat is scheduled for January 17 at 1:00 pm, when Junaid Safdar will lead the wedding procession to Lake City, Lahore. Approximately 400 guests, including family members and close associates, have been invited to attend the baraat ceremony.

Following the nikah and baraat, the walima reception will take place on January 18 at Jati Umra. The walima is expected to be the largest event of the wedding celebrations, with around 800 guests on the invitation list.

According to sources, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with several federal and provincial ministers, is expected to attend the walima. Security arrangements have been made accordingly.
