Dollar available for Rs166.99 after a gain of 32 paisas

The US dollar once again made gains against the rupee in inter-bank and open market on Thursday but the local currency performed well in case of both euro and pound sterling, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In inter-bank rate, the dollar was up by 32 paisas and closed the session at Rs166.99. However, the euro exchange rate was reduced to Rs190.36 after it shed 29 paisas against the rupee. Similarly, the pound ended the day at Rs209.37 after losing 95 paisas.
On the other hand, the dollar was available for Rs167.30 in open market after gaining 30 paisas. But the euro ended the day at Rs189 after losing 50 paisas and the pound at Rs210.50 with a loss of 50 paisas.
It means the dollar has gained 64 paisas in the first four days of the week in inter-bank rate and 30 paisas in open market. The euro, meanwhile, has gained Rs2.9 in inter-bank rate and Rs1.50 in open market.
However, the pound has not made any net gain or suffered net loss during these days in inter-bank rate, but is down by 50 paisas in open market.
