A drug-addicted husband on Friday burnt his wife alive and hid her dead body in the house.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the accused named Zubair was a resident of Kahna, Lahore.

He burnt his wife named Naila when their children were on a visit to maternal grandmother’s home.

The accused Zubair after burning his wife alive fled the crime scene.

Local police after recovering the burnt dead body of Naila and started an investigation.   

The police also confirmed that the accused husband of Naila was addicted to drugs.

Anyhow, the relatives of murdered Naila claimed that some of her in-laws were also involved in the killing.

Lahore Police Chief Ghulam Mahmood Dogar took the notice of the incident and sought report from Superintendent Police Model Town in this regard.

The police chief also ordered the concerned officers to register the case and arrest the accused.
