Murder after rape: Police claim to have solved mystery in Punjab town

Local police claimed to have solved the mystery of murder after rape of a little girl in Nankana Sahib, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Friday.

The seven-year-old girl went missing when she was returning home from fields last month.

Later, her tortured body was found in the nearby area in Bara Ghar police limits.

DPO Bilal Iftikhar said his team arrested the brother of the victim on charges of killing his younger sister after rape.

The top cop said the young boy confessed that he raped his sister and killed her to hide the crime from his father. 

Going for latest technics, Bilal said police interrogated 47 people in connection with the gruesome incident to reach the alleged rapist.

Medical report confirmed the victim was raped before killing. The incident raised fear among parents in Nankana Sahib town of Punjab.
