Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif turns 38 on Friday.

Today actress Katrina Kaif is considered to be one of the most accomplished stars of Bollywood however every actor has lingering doubts about ones abilities when stepping into the industry.

Let’s go all the way back to when Katrina was setting the foundation of her career and during a conversation with renowned film director Karan Johar Katrina revealed that she didn’t approve of her chart-topping project ‘Namastey London’ when it was first shown to her.

Miss Kaif said, “When I saw the film, I was terrified. Vipul showed it to me and said, ‘What do you think?’ I didn’t call him back. You know, when a director shows the actress a film, you have to give him feedback. I took off home, shut the door and didn’t give him a call.”

The actress further revealed, “I called him and I said, ‘Hi Vipul.’ He asked, ‘What do you think?’ I said, ‘Nice, very nice film. Okay, bye. I just saw too much of me in the film and you start believing what people say. I was like, ‘No, no, no, people can’t see me in a film, they won’t watch the film, it’s a disaster. This is over, my life is over.”

We do have to consider that Katrina was yet to acquire proper recognition and it is understandable the actress might have insecure opinions regarding the film revolving around her as in that point of her life she thought people would not want to watch the film because there was ‘too much of her in the film’.

Katrina was so put off by doubts of lingering self-doubt that she even considered packing her bags and finding a new venture to start, a new career to rely on.

And then the film got massive appreciation and obviously Katrina must have felt relieved.

The actress talked about how Namastey London changed how people perceived Katrina and she received direct calls from the industry as well congratulating her on doing a good job in the film.
