Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that a U-turn is very important for the General and the Leader, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Saturday.
Addressing a seminar organized by the Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) on the freedom of media in Islamabad, Imran said Pakistan stood at a decisive juncture where it was very important for the correct decisions to be made.

He referred to the military failures of Hitler and Napoleon against Russia and said it is important for armed forces' leaders to take U-turns, adding that mistakes should be realised. He said fair elections were the only solution to the country's current dilemma.
Imran Khan said he has a different stance on the missing persons' issue before coming into power and getting the army’s perspective on it.
He told the gathering that he never took action against the media and that no journalist was picked on his instructions during the last regime.
Imran Khan said no country can develop without freedom of expression but everything has a limit so there should be a check and balance on the issue of fake news.

The PTI Chairman said his cabinet had discussed the issue of picking up some journalists in his premiership but it was not done on his instructions as the problem was something else.
Former Prime Minister Imran said he also raised the issue of missing persons with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa.
PTI Chairman Imran also explained the army’s perspective and said it is difficult to prove terrorism in the court against the missing persons and there is a fear that these people will conduct terror activities again if released.
The former prime minister said that any attempt by the establishment to take action against journalists would only harm it instead of providing any benefits.
