Minister for Aviation and Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique announced on Saturday that Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has introduced a 10 percent cut on domestic flight fares while Pakistan Railways has also announced a decrease in economy class fares, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Khawaja Saad said that these relief measures have been introduced after the reduction in the prices of petroleum products.

The minister said that the implementation will be effective from Sunday (tomorrow).

The fare discount will be available for the next 30 days.

The notification will be issued on Sunday.

It is revenant to note that 90 percent of passengers choose an economy class for air travel while 94 percent of railways passengers choose an economy class for railways ticket.
